Dan Murphy

KIXI Program Director Dan Murphy has been helping afternoon commuters get "from here to home" for nearly 25 years.  Dan was born in Key West, Florida, before Jimmy Buffet moved in.  He was raised by wolves, and eventually found himself in Seattle where he's worked at some of the area's best known and least known radio stations.  He is an award-winning commercial writer and producer.  Dan and his wife love to travel, and they've been to exotic and magical places like the Amazon rainforest, the Great Pyramids of Egypt, the Grand Canyon, and Ballard.

 

Dan brightens your afternoon commute with great KIXI music, local traffic, news, and weather, and a laugh or two so you can put the day in perspective with a smile on the ride home.  Dan loves to laugh.  In fact, he often laughs for no reason, which explains why no one around the radio station takes him to lunch.
